It’s obviously not just about the looks, it has a lot to do about the specs as well. But since a lot of people have been searching the World Wide Web for the most exquisitely crafted camera drones ever created, we decided to do you guys a favour and tally the most handsome bad boys in the market today.

This article pays heed to the most important features of all the drones mentioned below since we found it imperative to include the specs that make each of them an even more attractive prospect for all private and professional consumers. It is, after all, crucial to know if the drone of your choosing is worth every buck.

DJI Mavic Pro

Deemed as the Swiss Army knife of drones, the DJI Mavic Pro is jam-packed with remarkable features. This quadcopter is especially created for travellers and adventurers alike. The Mavic Pro is also great for beginners and children since it is one of the most user-friendly drones in the market.Basically, anyone who would want to get their hands on a high-quality camera that’s the size of a pocket book would enjoy the Mavic Pro.

It’s easy to assume that the Mavic Pro may not be able to live up to most people’s expectations because of its small size, yet that could not have been more farther from the truth. DJI’s Mavic Pro is able to shoot 4k videos and 12-megapixel photos. This camera drone is also able to fly at speeds of up to 40MPH and stay in the air for 21 minutes. Add in a number of autonomous flying modes in the mix, including Active Track and Tap Fly, as well as forward-facing obstacle-avoidance features, you can never go wrong with the Mavic Pro.

DJI Phantom 4 Pro

Of all the camera drones for sale today, the Phantom 4 Pro is without a doubt the most state-of-the-art. This highly reliable quadcopter is extremely fast at 45MPH. The HD live video streaming feature works far better than any other drones available, and since it’s super easy to use, people are gravitating towards it more and more.

The Phantom 4 Pro is equipped with a brand new computer hardware and 3D cameras in order to map out environments in any space, making your drone live longer by helping it to not crash into anything.

When it comes to looks, of course the Phantom 4 Pro has most drones beat. It is made tremendously well and designed with elegance in mind.

This drone is one for the books, especially with features like these:

  • 4K Video with 20 Megapixel Photos using a 1-inch sensor
  • HD Video Streaming to your Mobile Device (over 4 mile range in good conditions)
  • Powerful Mobile App (just like the DJI Inspire)
  • Longer Battery Life (over 22-30 minutes)
  • Advanced 3D Vision Positioning for More Stable Flight
  • Front, Side, and Rear Facing Obstacle Avoidance
  • Active Visual Subject Tracking Technology
  • Quick Release Propellers
  • Free In-app Flight Simulator for Learning to Fly

DJI Inspire 2

Maybe we’re biased, but if you ever get the chance to see this drone in person, you wouldn’t be able to look away. With a design that looks like something that came straight out of a sci-fi movie, DJI’s Inspire 2 is probably one of the smartest, most professional-grade, highest quality user-friendly drone that money can buy.

All the standard features that come with the Phantom 4 Pro have been incorporated into the Inspire 2 — and that’s not even the best part. The Inspire 2’sdesign is optimizedto outdo most drones, especially with its industry-leading video features. As for size and speed, it’s twice as large and fast as the Phantom 4 — touching speeds of up to 60MPH.

The Inspire 2 is armed with a 5.2k camera mounted on a 360-degree panning gimbal and a corresponding first-person-view camera. This will help the flier do away with flying blindly sideways or backwards, allowing you to get all the shots that you want.

DJI Phantom 3 Series

When it comes to finding a drone that is the easiest to fly with the longest air time, has great video quality and is fortified with a plethora of features, the Phantom 3 is the one quadcopter that comes at the top of our heads. Only a few will ever come close to the Phantom 3, but none of them will ever give you the same kind of flying experience at the same price range.

DJI’s Phantom 3 is much more stable that the Phantom 2 and its video quality is precisely the same as DJI’s Inspire 1, except for a few, but significant, differences.

Yuneec Typhoon H

This is the only non-DJI product on this list, yet this fact doesn’t stop the Typhoon H from being a worthy competitor. Considered as the DJI Phantom 4’s biggest rival, it is a beast of a drone. It has a 6-rotor retractable landing gear with a 360 degree gimbal that is similar to that of the Inspire 1. When compared neck-to-neck with the Phantom 4, they are both able to stay in the air for over 20 minutes, in the same price range, and armed with obstacle avoidance features and great video quality. The Typhoon H is a very reliable and smooth flier, even when one of its rotors fails.

The Typhoon H comes with an all-inclusive Android controller so you won’t need a smartphone to control it. However, the interface is not as simple as the one on any DJI camera drone. It also does not have an obstacle-avoidance feature, which is a little disappointing.

If you want to have a little bit of everything, the Typhoon H is a good, quality drone since it is an amalgam of some features from the Phantom 4 and the Inspire 1 — all wrapped into one good-looking design.

Although it has been established that it’s not just about the looks, the overall design is also a key selling-point for any drone on the market today. But in order to get more value for your money, looking into the features is also wise. Apart from all the features mentioned above, some camera drones are made with programmable computer boards that can offer a whole lot more than the drones that have been mentioned in this list. All you need to do is to be a responsible consumer and do your research first.
